Product Owner

Company Background:

Skiddle was born in 2001 as a what's on guide and began selling tickets in 2006 and is now one of the UK's most loved ticketing services selling tickets for tens of thousands of events throughout the UK, from independent club nights through to 60,000 capacity festivals. Skiddle currently sells tickets for the likes of The Warehouse Project, Creamfields, Digbeth Dining Club and Live Nation, and hundreds of independent venues and promoters across the country. Likewise, we host the largest festival guide in Europe.

Why join us?

At Skiddle, we don’t just sell tickets — we connect people with unforgettable live experiences. With 10+ million page impressions each month and 30%+ year-on-year growth, we’re scaling fast.

We’re looking for a Product Owner with strong Business Analysis skills to help shape and deliver the digital products that millions of customers rely on. You’ll play a pivotal role in turning ideas into features, working closely with developers, stakeholders, and business teams to make our products smarter, faster, and even more customer-focused.

What you’ll do

In this role, you’ll bridge strategy and delivery — ensuring that every feature we ship adds real value to both customers and the business. You’ll:

  • Define the product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand needs and align them with business goals
  • Work with the Agile Delivery Manager to prioritise and refine the product backlog based on business value and ROI
  • Write clear, detailed feature specifications that give the dev team everything they need
  • Lead release planning, track KPIs, and demonstrate the value of new features
  • Act as a product ambassador across the business — keeping everyone aligned and inspired
  • Manage and mentor a small team of 2 Business Analysts, helping them grow
  • Ensure new products and features integrate seamlessly with our existing suite.

What we’re looking for

We want someone who’s just as passionate about building great products as they are about solving problems. You’ll thrive here if you’re curious, organised, and motivated to make an impact.

You’ll need to bring:

  • 5+ years’ experience in product development
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies
  • A balance of technical understanding and business acumen
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills — you can win hearts and minds across all levels
  • Proven ability to prioritise and deliver in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical mindset with sharp problem-solving skills
  • A customer-first approach, with the ability to balance competing stakeholder needs.

Bonus points for:

  • A computing-related degree (or equivalent experience)
  • A portfolio of work or personal side projects that showcase your skills
  • Experience mentoring or leading small teams.

What you’ll get at Skiddle

We know great work deserves great rewards, therefore at Skiddle you can look forward to excellent working conditions in a progressive and growing company. We have a friendly informal and lively culture, where everyone is trusted to take ownership of their own workload. You’ll be challenged but rewarded by working for this evolving business, where you’ll enjoy team outings, charity fundraising activities and going to events. Here’s what you can look forward to:

  • Friendly, informal, and lively working environment
  • Hybrid & flexible working hours (with free parking at our Preston HQ)
  • Company MacBook Pro
  • Company pension & sick pay
  • Health insurance via Vitality (after 1 year)
  • Cycle-to-work & tech schemes (after 1 year)
  • Extra holiday allowance after 1 year
  • Time set aside for personal development, research, and staying ahead with the latest tech
  • Opportunities to attend tech conferences
  • Regular team outings, charity fundraisers, and of course — access to incredible events
